New products are developed by own engineers, usually without assistance of external consultants.

In the last couple of years many special products were designed and launched into the market, such as sheet pile slings, soft steels, theatre steel wire ropes with coloured timbles and conical ferules, as well as steel wire ropes with zamac die casted terminals.

A major part of the Roodenberg success-story in manufacturing affordable, reliable products is due to the in-house design, development and building of machines and tools. All equipment is continuously being updated to meet current needs. The last couple of years, several new measure- and cutting machines, a rewinding machine, a test rig for chain hoists and automated device for loop assembly for small diameter steel wire ropes were set in operation.

Thus, delivery times could be shortened and pricing brought to an even more competitive standard.

Recently an online module for certificates was introduced, which provides registered customers direct Internet access to all certificates of lifting equipment. This system enables them to instantly print and do validity checks on the Roodenberg certificates they currently have in use.
